Interview with JOHN D. LIU – “True Wealth + Imagining a New Economic System”

We’re so grateful to have the counsel of John D. Liu at The BirdHouse. Mr. Liu is an advisor to the UN’s Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030, and also serves on The BirdHouse’s advisory board.

Ecological Program Manager Cameron Miller recently sat down with Liu to talk about the global restoration movement.  In the first installment of the interview series, Liu discusses how our current economy devalues ecosystem function and how we need to re-define True Wealth as a form of prosperity that protects and tends healthy lands and waters.

Liu invites us to courageously imagine an economic system that honors ecology and satisfies our deep human desire to live harmoniously in our places.
